Establish a sustainable presence on the moon... (Page 2/4)

"THE USA HAS HAD SPACE TRAVEL CAPABILITY FOR MANY YEARS WE LANDED ON MOON IN THE 60S. THESE UFO SPACE CRAFTS THAT ALL COUNTRIES HAVE AND REPORT. THESE CAPABILITIES ARE A COMBINATION OF OUR UFOS AND CRAFT FROM OTHER COUNTRIES THAT HAVE ADVANCED IN SPACE FLIGHT CAPABILITIES . WE HAVE SHARED SOME KNOWLEDGE WITH OTHER COUNTRIES MOST OF IT NOT WILLINGLY, PEOPLE CAN BE VERY BLIND TO WHAT IS GOING ON.!!! ,THESE ADVANCED CRAFT SHOW THIS BY FLYING OVER OUR I C B M SITES AND SHUTTING DOWN THE WHOLE FACILITY OR ONE MISSILE AT A TIME OR ALL AT ONCE THEN BRINGING THEM BACK UP AGAIN ELECTRONICS IS MUCH ADVANCED NOW AND HAS JUST BEGUN IT DOES NOT TAKE A GENIUSES TO FIGURE THESE THINGS OUT .!!! SOME DAY VERY SOON ALL THESE THINGS THE REAL ABILITIES OF THIS AND OTHER COUNTRIES NOT JUST OURS WILL BE KNOWN.I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE WE HAVE IN THE U S A INVOLVED IN THESE ACTIVITIES AND HAVE HAD SINCE THE 60S .IT IS NOT SOMETHING TO KEEP SECRET PEOPLE ARE MORE INTELLIGENT THEN THE GOVERNMENT THINKS. PEOPLE DON'T THINK THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY $1000.000 FOR A TOILET SEAT THAT MONEY WENT SOMEWHERE ???"
Your tinfoil hat is on a bit tight methinks.

"Here's a question you all can commit on ..
They say their 2 Trillion Galaxies in the universe!!
Now if their is that many their and each one has a solar system and each one has a planet systems lets say like ours.. Surely there are planet more advance than ours..
They may be keeping an eye on us to see how far we have come along..
And until we find a space ship that can travel as fast as lets say Warp Speed. we will never know for sure unless the give us the secrets to warp speed..
What do you think I would like to know ???"

How to spell and properly use the English language would be my guess.

Finally, a way I can visualize the National Debt

Most here know how I feel about "sustainable space....." BUT, I love the technology and excitement of it all. The Moon is tethered to Earth, so it is child's play compared to actual sustainable space life.

The space program had a better chance of survival with Trump than it does with biden. At least that is the feeling I get from him.

I'm not so sure what you mean there. If something (off world living) is sustainable, (which I infer as independently so) it's proximity to Earth is not really very relevant. It will just take a lot longer to get the basic building blocks to a planet like Mars than it does to 1/4 million mile away moon. (68 million miles to Mars)

It's sustainable as long as the supplies are delivered. That is dependent on the ability to invent currency from out of nowhere.

I agree.
As cool as this sounds, it's expensive and requires a HUGE commitment from the public (tax payers). And I don't know how committed biden is to a project like this.
To be sustainable, it needs to generate money.
It needs to generate interest. It needs to deliver something tangible that HUGE donors can buy and or sell. A moon station needs to marketed AND keep the public supporting it.
My opinion of sustainable does not stop at just putting the ISS or Moon Base out there. Those can be reached with the technology that we already have, and more importantly resupplied. Self-sufficiency is the missing link of space travel (this is ultimately the goal). Our technology only goes so far, public support and funding isn't enough to finish the job,.........if it is even possible. Self sufficiency is required for sustainability. The project needs to generate income and intrest.

Which is why I said 'independently so' meaning if sustainable is really the goal, then the off world colony (or plural) will have to be fully autonomous if not a supply base for US (Earth) and not Earth be a supply base to them. I have little doubt that will someday be the case, but I tend to take a very long and wide view of the world and beyond.

People of the current era tend not to look very far into the future, which puzzles me deeply. They never seem to think or plan ahead. Here it is not quite Sunday, and I'm already thnking ahead to Wednesday. I plan ahead, that way I don't have to do anything today.

Part of me imagines the moon being lit up at night in part by all the eventual buildings that'll be built on there. I think I saw an artistic rendering of the moon when I was a kid that showed an entire city on the moon. Would be kind of a shame to see the moon change in such a way... though I suppose younger generations wouldn't care so much as they'd be used to it and would probably see it opposite of older generations.

Never the less... bottom line is that China has recognized that part of what made America great in the 50s-60s and again in the 80s was space innovation. It's one of the few things that the world will ALWAYS look up to (and I don't mean that as a pun). Most people live life myopically and don't consider the human race or the future of mankind. Space travel is the one thing that is always moving our society (as a whole) ...forward.

Most modern presidents (President Trump excluded) have been horrendous towards NASA. President Obama... he deserves an entire thread of its own on how badly he destroyed NASA. The only positive that came from it is that it got SO bad, that it allowed more corporate sponsorship to come in. But he politicized NASA so much that for a long time, both sides absolutely hated NASA. The left believed all money spent on NASA was a waste because it should be spent on poor people. The far right believed any money spent on NASA was a waste because it was trying to disprove the existence of God. It wasn't until "Clock Boy" made NASA shirts cool again (because bleeding heart liberals wanted to support a supposed discriminated Muslim child) or Trump created Space Force, or Elon Musk made space cool again.

Never the less... I do not AT ALL have high hopes for Joe Biden. Socialists do not want a successful America. They do not see the United States in the same way that most of us do... a beacon of light. They want the United States to be knocked down to mediocrity. Joe Biden is not a socialist... but everyone else on his team is... and Joe is a largely unwitting idiot that's going to go along with it.

All that though to say... if we don't build a sustainable presence on the Moon and Mars... the Chinese will, and they'll have furthered their agenda both scientifically, and socially with propaganda.

For the near term weren't they looking to build in the caverns of the Moon to get up and running faster and to better shield from radiation?

Joe's deep state handlers will focus almost all attention to what pockets them the most money and power about the world. And if another nation starts getting an advantage in space exploitation the deep state will rush to head that off, spending all their time separating people from their inheritances.

It had been discussed but not sure where they are with the undeground type habitats. About 20" of moon soil would protect them fine from daily exposure but they would need a lot more if there were solar storms and the deep chamber would need to be reachable in about 1/2 hour, as that's all the warning they would get.
