Yeah, i'm not entirely convinced of it's comfort or "claimed" benefits.
I'll let you know...

In my experience, that's the part of the female body that gives me the most problems.
Robert Crumb would agree.

I have one and love it. It has helped me deal with some of the stressors in my life. It helps reduce the anxiety I deal with daily, and helps me sleep at night. I tend to stay in one position at night under the blanket rather than toss and turn like I normally do.

Yeh.

What you don't want to be doing is releasing adrenaline and going into fight/aggression mode at any little stressor.

Trust me on this one. Doesn't work out so well in the long run.

(meh, seemed like a good idea at the time)

My sleep habits are a bit odd. Year round, I sleep under a big comforter and sheet, with ceiling fan and ac on in summer and a floorstand fan blowing on me in summer, and with central heat, ceiling fan and floor stand fan blowing on me. Ceiling fan is for air movemnet mostly and floor stand fan is for a little more air but mostly for the sound. Why? I have found this combination best controls what I dream.
King size bed and I barely move from exactly where I fell asleep on one far edge of it.

I have done that every night (minus hotels) since 1985.
All them years day & night sleeping next to a running generator, running heavy equipment, running dam pump, etc. addicted me to a continuous drone.
And the air movement keeps my sleep just below the waking surface and semi-alert in case sh!t goes down!*

* that probably started as a result of pulling (woke & guided) 3 people from a trailer fire in the middle of the night back then. From that day forward, fire while sleeping became my biggest fear. Now I never drop down into deep deep sleep.

Interesting.
While I probably wouldn't sleep well under a weighted blanket, due to claustrophobia concerns, I do sleep under a blanket, year round. I also am not happy unless the thermostat is set to ~68F, much to my wife's chagrin.

Aside from all that... We don't need a weighted blanket. We have dogs.

Having grown up in a house where the thermostat was set to about 60 degrees at night during the winter, I'd say the heavy blankets are probably pretty nice.
