As it was forum member "2.5" who created this topic, I can't help but wonder if he was, at least subconsciously, influenced by what became a cultural meme of sorts: a pre-game ritual of the NFL Baltimore Ravens known as "Game Time" or the "Dog Chant", when the Ravens gathered around their celebrated linebacker Ray Lewis, who led the players in what became a uniquely predictable a cappella recital:

Ray Lewis was a Baltimore Ravens linebacker for 16 NFL regular seasons, from 1996 to 2012. He retired from the NFL in 2013, at age 37. His last game was Super Bowl XLVII, played on February 3, 2013, and culminating in a 34-31 victory for the Ravens, over the San Francisco 49ers.
