That is a very contortionist-like utterance--"very leftist"--considering that it was President Trump's Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who led the negotiations with the Taliban in February of 2020 that set the stage for the Afghanistan that Joe Biden inherited, a full year later, as the 46th President of the United States, and considering that the Trump administration prevailed upon Pakistan to free the lead Taliban negotiator, who had been under detention in Pakistan.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 09-01-2021).]

I would say blaming this administrations horrible choice and execution on the previous administration is somewhat contortionist-like.
I realise leftist can be interpreted a few ways.
You would need to stop being so partisan and thinking in those terms.

I wouldn't say flat out that "Biden was carrying out Trump's plan", but, on the other hand, to encapsulate the current situation as "very leftist" à la "2.5" . . . that trivializes this situation and events.
