Someone mentioned Dems and David Duke. When the Southern states changed parties to Republican, Duke later followed. I believe his only successful political win was as a Republican.
He's also a Trump and Tucker Carlson supporter.

In December 1988, Duke changed his political affiliation from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.

Ever heard that old nugget of wisdom? If every boss hates you, it's probably you; if every employee hates the boss, it's probably the boss? In this case, the problem is your ability to properly convey information. You seem to go off on a tangent, and jump around... almost as someone might if they were schizophrenic. Literally there are times when it seems you've left out entire sentences in a discussion. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying you need to focus your discussion better... several people have told you this.

So you can only come back with rambling nonsense, change the subject, or throw childish insults. Your thinking and beliefs are bringing your country deeper into the toilet.

But at least it's your country, not mine.

There's a few things we need to consider:

1 - Everyone goes to Florida for vacations... so you literally have people commingling from all over the country.
2 - Florida has one of the highest numbers of elderly because it's a retirement haven, people have worked hard and move to Florida to live out their days. They are more at risk.
3 - Florida is the most diverse state in the union, with more cultures and nationalities in Florida than any other state, and more than Canada combined... this means you have people flying into South Florida from all over the world.

Florida has one of the best systems of infrastructure in the world, because it's such a wealthy state... they will easily overcome this as they have in the past.

Funny enough, this is the same argument that the Democrats / Progressive group basically said around this time in 2020. Let's look at how that turned out?

1 - Vast economic devastation in all liberal and progressive areas
2 - Massive unemployment and exponential welfare increase in all liberal and progressive areas
3 - Massive exodus from liberal / progressive areas, all moving to conservative / Republican areas
4 - Lots of crow and humble pie being eaten in liberal / progressive areas as they are forced to admit that Florida and Texas did it right

... yet, here we are, again? Going to go with that same approach?

One of the themes or through-lines here from "sourmash" is that the Covid vaccines, which have received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA, are "experimental" and from that, the assertion that for him to take the vaccination(s) would be a gamble or "roll of the dice" that comes with a potentially more negative downside for him, than remaining unvaccinated.

"Sourmash" (I guess he should be capitalized when his screen name begins a sentence) has referred to those who are accepting of the Covid vaccines as "injectionists."

I think Dr Fauci has been one of those fabled Pennock's "lurkers", looking in on these conversations, but not revealing himself to us.

Just a couple of hours ago, Dr Fauci spoke directly to these ideas and assertions from "sourmash."

I have Dr Fauci queued up in this YouTube posting of today's briefing from the White House Covid Response Team.

Have only heard employers recruiting me to come work for them, or clients have requested I work for a company that they want to transfer their work to.

And I've never been an Affirmative Action hire, either. No matter what a person says about their abilities, when they check the box it sets the wheels in motion. Government, government contract work and big corporations especially recruit and promote based on the box checked in America.

What's it been, length of time wise since shots were mass administered in the USA? We don't even know all the short term adverse reactions yet.

It certainly got Emergency Use Authorization... which was Trump's doing.

With that, it hasn't gone through the typical time frame that would be normal, or even expedited, for a vaccine. Before this, the quickest and most expedited vaccine ever produced was the MUMPS vaccine, which took just shy of about four years of development and testing before it was approved. This vaccine, a product of "Operation Warp Speed" was developed and approved in less than 11 months... which is not only amazing, it's pretty much unimaginable.

But again, there is absolutely every reason to have some hesitation, and people need to be allowed to make these decisions for themselves. We can make fun of people who "don't trust the science..." but let's be honest with each other, there's not a single chemical engineer, biomedical engineer, or even a chemist in Pennock's Fiero Forum. We have some carpenters, some computer programmers, truckers, retired military, cattle ranchers... but no chemists or biomedical engineers. So for anyone here to make fun of anyone else for having an opinion about this is pretty much equally ignorant... because we all are.

I say this too for the news media... these "journalists" (and I use that loosely) have absolutely no idea any more than you or I do. The way the world works now too is pretty much... "pick the scientist and doctor and engineer that agrees with your politics, and we'll push that." That's all any of us do. There are just as many doctors / scientists that are calling for caution as there are who are saying there's nothing to worry about... and you know why? Because we don't know.

Another thing that justifies concern is that this is the very first messenger RNA "vaccine" ... there has never been a previously used mRNA vaccine in history. So... not only was this vaccine done in 25% less time than the next quickest approved vaccine, but it also uses entirely different medical technology and science than all previous vaccines.

I chose to take the vaccine, because I'm old enough that I'm not concerned with sterilization (not planning on having another kid), and I'm also /always/ a very healthy person... and I honestly believe I could pretty much beat anything. But I absolutely will not give it to my daughter... under any circumstances.

By the way, I got a kick out of the link... haha, was it intentional to stop it at 666 (seconds)?

rinselberg AUG 05, 05:20 PM
666 . . . I had not even noticed that.

That's where Dr Fauci comes in. At 666 seconds after the beginning of the YouTube segment. Or 11 minutes and 6 seconds.

I tried to mention this to tshark, a couple of days ago (during that other COVID Vax thread) but he didn't want to hear it, and essentially kept telling me I was full of sh!t.
My wife has a masters in medicinal/biological chemistry. We speak about this crap, frequently. She understands enough about how the vaccine works that she is comfortable with it. As am I. (In layman's terms, it has to do with the spikes. ALL COVID viruses have those spikes. Please don't ask me to go deeper into an explanation, because I really don't remember all the details.)

With all of that said... personally, I don't give a flying fsck if anyone else gets the vax. I really don't. (Although I think it would go away more quickly if people did. But still... their choice.)
What I do have a problem with is some people taking pleasure that people are getting sick.
Topic: HahaHaha! CDC: 3/4 of those with Covid19 have had "vax".
Seriously? Tells me all I need to know about... someone's character.

Anybody talked about how often folks are said to need a booster, per the experts recommendations?
