I am... self proclaimed.
I remember the days when Jacques Villeneuve was Chancellor of the Canadian Republic, and he raced right to the election with Tim Horton as his Vice Chancellor.
I'm a little rusty now... and I don't get the time to spend on the Twitters like I used to, but this new guy just doesn't do it for me.

Even worse, Dude...
He is gonna go hide at DA NORT POLE and cry and stomp his feet until Santa puts you on the naughty list.

Unlike the burning, looting and murdering from blm who have an unrealistic goal of ending a mythical racist system or the antifa fighting a mythical fascist government. The noise and trouble they stirr up in the name of an unattainable goal is monumental compared to a traffic jamb and honking horns. |

He doesn't have to. Like all large protests, the tide will turn against the protestors. The people that DGAF about people whining for/against vaccines will get irritated with whoever directly interferes with their day, not the reason for the interference.
Everyone seems to forget that the middle still exists because they're in their little echo chambers drumming each other up.

There are very few of the DGAF left here. A few retired shut-in's. NOBODY left unaffected by the mandates.
The feds and provincials governments have spent the past year gradually imposing more and more social restrictions, then a few months ago started going sector-by-sector and mandating the jab to stay employed.
No jab, No job. No job, no money. No money, no home. No home, no food.
THATS what we are fighting against. It's not a vaccine against a virus, it's a shot against unemployment and homelessness. Basically, a fight for survival for millions here.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 02-08-2022).]

That's what your echo chamber thinks. How many trucks are we talking here, 10, 20, 50,000. Still a drop in the bucket.
People roll over for that sweet government money all day, everyday. Canada or US, we ain't that different in that respect. Getting a shot to get it, whether direct or indirect, is a part of doing business.
Unless you believe the shot is gonna give you microchip super aids or something stupid.

And rightfully so, the mandates are wrong and sense you mentioned (after I have) the election hadn't seen the worst of the mandates or the hypocrisy of the government. The voters haven't seen how bad the government was at the time of the election. The situation evolved and is now in a different phase. |

Another Province ends mandates. Saskatchewan is done. The Truckers win a big one. When jt comes out from hiding he is going to have to answer to his lies about the Truckers being racists along with ending the mandates.

After all these years, we finally have a Canadian topic in O/T that our American friends can sink their teeth into. I think it's great. Next we'll be discussing our favorite sport!
