I'm such a sucker... (Page 1/2)

I clicked on one of the PFF advertisements, and actually bought something.

I got this...

I was trying to elicit the help of my wife to pick the proper color... so I was going through them...

Dark / Charcoal version of this... sort of a drop out 80s metal head. Not the style I'm going for.
Dark / Brown version of this... sort of the Lorenzo Llamas / Renegade version... sort of the rebel without a cause look.
Light / Brown version of this... kind of Jim Rockford / Sears Leather Shoppe version... maybe too passe' ...

I couldn't help myself... my wife thinks these are totally tacky... but I'm still decent / youthful enough looking that I can pull this off without looking too ridiculous.

HA ! What is style ? Mine has totally changed the past 3 years. Leather jackets havent been touched in 2 years, I am more into this now https://i.ebayimg.com/image...8121-0-1/s-l1000.jpg . It's running shoes not boots now, too damn hard to get on and off. Ball cap for everything, dont remember the last time I wore a stetson...

Honestly, I no longer give a damn if its fasionable, so long as its comfortable !

I'm what we used to call, "metro" back in the early 2000s... but not effeminate. I wear very "Miami-styled" shirts... lots of floral prints, paisleys, and stuff like that... just my style. I flip back the collars, wear trendy shoes, and slacks.

But I don't spend a lot of money... everything I buy is usually on sale or discounted... I like to look nice and put together, but I'm frugal. For me it's definitely not about brand and / or giving the appearance of wealth, but showing the style that represents my personality... hahaha... fake and cheap! Just kidding... no, fun but responsible.

At least you didn't buy this one:

I had two thoughts when I saw this ad:

1) What man is going to wear that?
2) Is it supposed to make the wearer look like a big Cohiba?

My leather jacket is a bit more...er..."road worn".

Yeah, that's a bit outside my style...

But i can tell you how that would typically be worn. That would be your casual business attire in New England / New York... perhaps even somewhat European.

The person wearing that would basically wear this outfit:

and would then have shoes that match the jacket and the belt...

Think someone who would likely drive this:

... or used public transit, or even possibly rode a bike in the city... and usually drank chardonnay at dinner parties...

I'm half embarrassed to admit, but this is more my style...

... but I'd be wearing much nicer shoes. Not some lame-ass Keds or whatever those are. Oh, and I wouldn't have a man-purse either... hate that **** .

I like it, I don't think I could pull it off (they style) but I do like it.

As a South Floridian... I like the Cohiba...

Also, that old leather jacket looks like it's been on a few motorcycle rides! haha... I bet it has some history...

I really like it too... and it's super nice inside... but a little too expensive for my taste. It's a $40k-$65k car. At this point in my life, knowing the expenses I'll have in the coming years (college for my daughter, want to pay off my house, max out my 401k, etc...) I'll have to settle for a bunch of used cars.

This is what I drive as my daily driver. It's 11 years old, soon to be 12. This picture was taken just last year... this car is awesome, and I love it. It's probably not even worth $6,000... but it's mine, and I don't owe anything on it.

What's really caught my eye though, is the new Ford Bronco.. and also... I REALLY like the new Lincoln Aviator...

...comes with a 3.0 liter Twin Turbo rear wheel drive V6 with 4-wheel fully independent suspension and 100s of options.

...starts at 51k, tops out at $90k... which just blows my mind.
