In this picture, which bolts pass into the coolant passages and require sealing? V6 engine.

Yes Charley, #4 is the only bolt that requires sealer.

Only the sole water pump replacement that I did on the Fiero 2.8L later to a 3.4L, we replaced all the bolts with stainless steel hex head bolts. I could never understand the thinking that GM had for using Torx head bolts in this water pump location.. Much easier to remove hex head bolts and also easier to torque them to spec.

This will be on my 3.4. When we installed the engine, we converted to hex heads. I do have a full set of Torx impact bits, but I mostly use them for throwing at the chipmunks as they run from underneath the cars.
