Anyone installed headers for their 3.4 swap? if so any particular brand and size?

Yes and no...

YES in that I bought shorty headers for my 3.4 swap... NO in that my car has been in storage for 14 years and I haven't actually done the swap yet! haha...

I bought a set of shorty headers from West Coast Fiero.

They're a little expensive... about $1,800 shipped for stainless: https://westcoastfiero.com/...rty-exhaust-headers/

But there's also a cheaper set which is just regular steel, that's only ~$1,300.

These are custom made, so you can order them in a variety of sizes. I went with 2.5"s, which might be a little overkill, but with a 3.4 that's been worked over, it's just right (based on everything I've read).

You could also look for people selling used Spintech and other shorty headers. The Fiero Store sold like two different kinds over the years, and they occasionally pop up.

Properly ported 2.8 exhaust manifolds will perform just as well as the headers, and save a ton of money.

That's insane! 6 years ago or so I bought some from Summit for an F-body 3.4 for $250 and they were pretty good quality.
I don't see them available anymore...and they'd require some rework to work in a Fiero but they did look damn good!

I just found on Summit racing flow tech 11586 headers on sale.I thought the headers should get at least another 5-10 more horsepower
from just porting the manifolds. I have headers on my 87 fiero 2.8 reman and it sounds really exotic with some nice power.

I just ported the stock exhaust manifolds on my 3.4 - get much of the bump that $1,000 headers would give you for a bit of time with a grinder or mill.

These might work.

Haha... I'll add the cost of my headers are not necessarily the solution for everyone. For me... it's the... "this is my high school car, which I've had since 1996, and I will spare no expense to make it absolutely perfect." The ones from West Coast Fiero are basically the best of the best. I'm not sure what total power you could get from it... but the benefit is that it comes with everything, including the matching Y-Pipe, etc. So, there's no modification necessary.

Hogging the stock / factory exhaust manifolds yields a guaranteed 8 horsepower in a stock V6. I would presume that unless you had a different cam, you'd likely see the same horsepower increase on a 3.4. It's for sure the easiest way to gain some quick power.

I'm thinking with the headers, and a good cyl head porting job with better-flowing valves (which I have), I'd probably get ~15-16 horsepower... but it's just a guess.

The 8hp from the factory exhaust logs is a definite though.

200% agree, if you are only changing to a header without doing anything else to the 3.4L, the ported stock logs will yield the same results and you can spend that t$1000 elsewhere!
