Hey everyone. I need some help figuring out what wheels to buy. I have a 85 with a Mera/style Ferrari 308 panels with no coil overs, all stock. Currently have 15” 308 type rims. I love these rims but can’t find new rubber for them. So I decided to go with a bigger/modern size for more tire options. Does anyone have 17” or 18” rims on their Mera? What width and offset did you use? Back space? I want to find something that will look flush with the fender.

C5 Corvette 18x9.5 rear wheels with 285/30 tires will fit under stock bodywork with 1" thick bolt pattern adapters. They'll be pretty close to the struts... not sure about clearance to the stock spring perch.

Okay thanks, if I have to go to coil overs to make something work I will.

If you mean what size was I looking for on the old rims, I had 245/50/15 rear and 255/50/15 front. I can find front rubber, nothing for rear. I bought 245/60/15 and 255/60/15 and had front rub issues and just looked too big.

If I did my homework correctly, I will be running 18x8.5 x 35mm for the front, and 18x10 x 25mm for the back.
I'm looking at a 26" tire height, so I will target 225/45/18 for front and 255/45/18 for the rear.

255 is a narrow tire for a 10" wheel... you should be able to fit a 285/40 on that wheel... not sure about your bodywork. You should be able to run offset up to 30 on an 18x10 rear and still have acceptable strut clearance.

The stock Mera tires were 245 x 50 x 15 on the front and 265 x 50 x 15 on the back. Where did you manage to find the 245 x 50 x 15 tires because I have been looking for them for years? You can run the 265 tires on all four corners but may have a slight rub in the front when making sharp turns at slow speeds. The 265 tires are currently available in a couple of brands. I know that Hankok is one of them and have used several of them on my tires. Cooper did make a 265 tire but I do not believe that they are currently available in the 265 x 50 x 15 size.

Nelson the 245/50/15 were on the car when I got it 2 years ago and it sat in the guys garage for years so I’m sure he got them in the 80s or 90s. I can’t find new ones anywhere. I hate to have to go to a bigger rim when the car came with great looking 15s. I’m getting a complex asking around for that size of tire , they all laugh at me on the phone and say “good luck finding anything in a 15!” Lol Thanks for the info.
