Had some recent brake work done, new rotors, climbers etc. Noticed how "soft" the brakes are compared to my daily driver ( 2005 Caddy Deville). Have been told you guys use a " bigger" or " better" brake booster. Is the stock setup not as good and needs improvement ??

Install the s10 brake booster and don’t compare the stock fiero brakes to newer cars lol it will never feel the same.

The original booster is small which is good for brake feel, and if you are strong/healthy that booster is good.......As we get older, or also if you convert to bigger brakes and stickier tires, then the amount of force needed to approach lock-up becomes difficult to reach....so then you may need more boost/assist on your brakes.
I don't need it yet, but I also had trouble switching from one car to another because of the difference in boost....Had a similar problem when switching from my Fiero to my 1973 mach 1 with steering feel....the Fiero has straight-cut steering gears while my Mustang's original box had variable ratio which made both cars feel weird while driving- the Mustang felt like it had a rubber band in the linkage- switched to 1985 F-bird WS6 high-effort internals and the steering on the '1 felt much better (Ford used GM Saginaw steering boxes in the 71-73 Mustangs)
(Most complicated part on any car (By Far!) is Automatic transmission...next most complicated thing is a Recirculating-ball (Power) steering box....Much more complicated than ANY engine!)[This message has been edited by cvxjet (edited 05-17-2020).]

The bigger brake booster provides a great improvement/feel to the Fiero braking system. Take a look at this Better Brakes, in there Fieroguru shows the difference of stock booster compared to S10 booster.

Perhaps worn rubber brake lines. [This message has been edited by IMSA GT (edited 05-17-2020).]

Very likely you still have something wrong causing "soft" pedal. Example rear calipers w/ iffy pistons.
Adding a "big booster" won't help problems like that.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)
