Ok so question need to do exhaust manifold gaskets on my 2.8 and was wondering if the 3.4 Camaro exhaust manifold gasket will work on the 2.8. I heard that all external fiero stuff will bolt to the 3.4 so I feel like I’m answering my own question here. Just looking to hear your confirmation on this. Fiero 2.8 exhaust gaskets are 20.00 dollars on rock auto while the 3.4 Camaro are only 4.00 bucks so why not take the budget route.

Reading a thread by Sardonyx (sp) he mentioned using VW bug exhaust gaskets. They're individual so you buy 6. Maybe someone who knows can also include their comments about that option as well?

Another vote for the VW gaskets.
If I still had a 2.8 or 3.4, that's what I'd be doing.

As the 2.8 and the 3.4 use the same heads......why would the 3.4 gaskets (or the VW) not fit?
Short answer...yes, they will fit the 3.4.

Wow ok looks like I’ll go that route with the VW gaskets I’m guessing a 1.8 or 2.0 liter is the motor these are used on? I’m still going to get the 3.4 manifold gaskets anyway. One other question what is the thread pitch of the exhaust manifold bolts since i am going to install all new hardware for it

I had the headers off to get a new ceramic coating and to repaint the engine when I was doing a clutch change.
I'd heard about people using these VW exhaust gaskets for the V6 engine and decided to look some up.
I found these copper ones with the 1-5/8" hole that people were recommending. (4 in a package)
It's only once I got them that I noticed the stock exhaust gasket and heads only have a 1-1/2" outlet anyway.
1-1/2" rings also available - could have also used those. All installed - no leaks. YAY!!

I had gaskets like that on my 3.4 for a while. They eventually burned out.
