Isuzu Shift Bracket for cables (Page 1/1)

Anyone know if the shift cable bracket for the isuzu 5spd is specific to the fiero or was it found on other fwd models? If not, I'm just gonna fabricate one.

This is only speculation, but it's probably specific to the Fiero even if the transmission was used in another vehicle. The reason I say this is by comparing the 84 Muncie 4-speed to the 85-86 Muncie 4-speeds. It was originally a FWD transmission and had the cable mount cast onto the case.

A new mount and probably shift levers had to be designed to facilitate the shifter cables coming to the transmission from the opposite direction than what was used in the Citation or other FWD vehicles that used that transmission.

Do you have a picture of the part you need? Is it just part or all of the bracket that you need. I'm not sure if he wants to sell it but I might know a source. I just spoke with him and he's moving parts from one storage to another on Thursday. He will see if it's still attached to his old Isuzu.

The bracket is highlighted in this post on the forum under the isuzu 5spd section.
