There is a torsion bar adjustment up front of the deck lid on each side for if you have the weight of the wing on it or not. Search this forum for deck lid/trunk spring adjustment. Someone probably had it adjusted for 'no spoiler'... It's pretty easy to adjust. You just change the position of the torsion rod into a different slot. If you look at the front of the lid, you'll see it. I think there are 3 slots that bar can go in to change the tension...

There are also torsion bars of different levels of resistance. I believe there's three to choose from.

Try adjusting first.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to get stronger rods.

At least 3 rod sets for...
Plane lid.
Lid w/ Wing.
Lid w/ Luggage Rack.

Wing may feel light to you but put that on the rear edge of lid and is like a brick to the hinges and rods.
You have no wing lid and adjust to stay open but often w/ very lite breeze can slam the lid closed very easy.
