Ok so I can’t find a forum post about this very thing, but I did find a post from an earlier topic that discusses the widest possible wheels you could fit on the back of a stock bodied 1988 fiero. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/120740.html
For this build I am looking at putting on the car a pair of Enkei TSV wheels https://www.fitmentindustri.../enkei-tsv-18x10-45?
In case if the link does not quite work, the wheels are size 18X10 wheels with an offset of +45. I’m curious to know if these will fit in the rear of the fiero. The catch to this is I want to run 305” DOT approved racing wheels tires on it. I know the tires will fit on the rim, but I want to know if this is a safe set up to run?
Help?

Looking at the graphic in the other thread, it looks like you would need a 60 mm offset to make that wheel fit inside the fender. The tires will extend 1 inch farther on EACH side than the 10" rim, so in actuality you would need a 10 inch wheel with closer to 85 mm offset......I have seen a 1987 Fiero GT with C6 Vette rims on it......That would appear to be the largest that will work....Check into their dimensions.

I have 18x9.5-61 early C5 Corvette rear wheels with 1" thick adapters on my '87. I'm running 285/30-18 tires. This is the MAX that will fit on an '84-'87 car without much more serious mods. Subtract the 25mm adapter from the 61mm offset and you get 36mm. So an 18x9.5-36 would bolt right up to an otherwise stock suspension with coil overs.
Here's how I verified the fit: http://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../000121-21.html#p813
As you can see, there is ZERO room to widen the wheel/tire outboard, so additional width must come from inboard.
The 1988 struts are tilted inboard further than the '84-'87 struts. This means maybe about 1/2" more space available at the inner edge of the wheel. If you take a 18x9.5-36 wheel and widen it 13mm at the inner edge, you end up with 42.5mm offset, as half the width increase shows up in the offset.
So an 18x10-40 is in the right ballpark for an '88, although may be really close. I'd expect to run a 3mm spacer under an 18x10-45... that should be right at what fits... Again, that's 1988 Fiero *ONLY*[This message has been edited by Will (edited 08-15-2019).]
