is there anywhere to get a good complete kit of o rings for doing a retrofit? i have an assortment kit from the local parts store, but when you match the o rings up, they are close but not perfect, any help or recommendations would be welcomed.

The r134 (green) are different in size (slightly) from the old (black) o-rings. Just get a GM retro-fit assortment, it will be fine. Just lightly lubricate any o-ring prior to installing it. Rock Auto or Amazon or a local parts store but never accept an open package.

Best product for lubricating AC system O-rings, compatible with all refrigerants and O-ring material, is Nylog Blue A tiny bottle will last you forever and it not only acts as a lubricant, but a sealant and it doesn't dry out with age. Looks like snot and a little goes a long long way. You can get it at most HVAC supply houses. It's even good for installing coolant hoses and fuel injectors.

O-ring list. Some are regular, others are "captured".
