Finally getting tired of this problem after stalling driving across a busy road and the car died and I almost got hit.
Problem: Isles higher when cold Eratic idle (only when warm) When wake sounds like a slight misfire When fully stopped, either bogs down and almost stalls or stalls (only when cars warm) When car is warm, accelerating occasionally sputters for a few seconds Shifting from P to D or R can sometimes stall the car
Car: 1987 Fiero GT Blue (I know the color doesn't matter but I love the blue!)[This message has been edited by Dklosinski (edited 08-12-2019).]

Have you tried disconnecting the plug on the transmission? You indicated it stalls when shifting from Park to Drive. May be the TCC is at fault?

My stalling problem turned out to be the Idle Air Control (IAC). Makes a mini-machine gun sound when doing it's thing. Easy fix.

I tried doing this but the problem still persists.

problems that happen 'only when warm' are usually caused by bad sensor information to the computer. LIkely items are: 02 sensor, CTS, MAP.

I just replaced a coil that worked when cold but not warm. 10 year old MSD coil. I replaced the distributor (1 year old w/lifetime warranty), and rewired a good portion of the wiring around that area, only to find it was the coil.

I have replaced those 3 things. Although I'm thinking of replacing them again since I used eBay parts

I opened up my distributor cap today and noticed that there was marks on the cap from the like scratch marks from the distributor rotor.
I tried to retime it. It was at 25 and I tried to move it to 10 but it would die very fast and wouldn't start back up.
