Yup! Gotta find someone local to me that can do it (northern Illinois area). But I'm planning on doing lots of stuff while I'm there, such as the throwout bearing, pilot bushing, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, timing chain and gasket, rear suspension bushings, and re finishing a bunch of random engine bay parts. It'll be parked for winter anyway, so it makes sense in my mind to do those things while the cradle is out. If anyone's got any other thoughts on things I should do while it's out, feel free to let me know!------------------ -White 1988 Fiero GT T-Top (TTOP 88)

Ttop88, don't install a pilot bushing. The Fiero doesn't use it. Many of the clutch kits come with one because that clutch is used in other vehicles. If you install the pilot bushing, you will never get the transmission to pull up and bolt to the engine. Pilot bushings are used mainly on transmissions and not on transaxles because rear-wheel drive transmissions don't have a pilot shaft that's supported by a bearing on both ends like a transaxle has.

Great to know. Thank you for that! I was looking for one online, and couldn't find anything for the 2.8, and that explains it! Thanks a lot!------------------ -White 1988 Fiero GT T-Top (TTOP 88)

I would suggest porting the exhaust manifolds. (Have a look Here for a tip.) You'll pick up a few ponies, and it'll even sound better.
IMO it's not worth the hassle to remove the restriction in the Y-pipe on an '88 though, as I don't believe it's possible to remove the quality factory heat shielding without destroying it.
Another option is to replace the exhaust manifold bolts with studs.
