OK... and intermittent. Yup... those are frustrating. Did you change PCV valve?
It seems that ECM isn't happy with something, or is getting a false reading from something. Erratic power and ground can cause this.
Check that engine has both ground straps to frame in place and good clean connections at both ends. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...090907-2-085268.html
Also make sure all power connections are clean and tight. The Power Distribution Block is next to the battery. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/134593.html
And any connectors that plug onto engine sensors.
You may try disconnecting MAP when idle is rough as described here:
