LOL. Stock Northstar longblock weighs ~310 lbs.

You will *NEED* the oil filter adapter with oil cooler connections. These are increasingly rare and expensive.

Thanks for the correction!

So when you say I’m going to be adding a set of square tubing to the cross member, do you have any measurements or drawings and photos I can base this off of or is this something I will have to just figure out?

First few photos on this page show mine from the bottom: http://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/000121-23.html

When replacing the crossmember, be sure to weld the cradle to your welding table to keep the cradle sides in alignment - before you cut the crossmember out of the cradle.

So it's not a stock piece then? Or it's only on certain cars?

It was optional across the Northstar lineup.

ETA: Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/151779713065
That's a two bolt unit; there were also three bolt units that fit the '05+ engines, the two bolt units work on the older engines. The three bolt units may back date as well. I'm not sure.

ETA: They may all be interchangeable... it looks like the three bolt units reuse the two bolts from the earlier units.

So it looks like towing package cars got the cooler and possibly Aurora did. No Auroras at the yard I visited today and it appeared that none of the Northstars I looked at had the cooling lines. I only remember 2 towing DeVilles in the past year, one of which I pulled the hitch to use on mine. Wish I knew about the oil cooling adapter then.

You might check any STS Sevilles for the coolers.
