For some reason, I didn't realize that Fieros have coat hook. It was a cool surprise when I saw them in the above auction photo! I found in this thread that they were on the 85-88 models. Can't wait to get mine delivered and maybe find some other small surprises haha 😆[This message has been edited by dizzie (edited 07-14-2025).]

In a Fiero there is limited room for baggage in the trunk so a coat hook was included so that a carry (suit) bag can additionally be carried behind the seat. . When we occasionally take the Fiero for an overnight trip my wife wants to take along a dozen pcs of luggage. With the coat hook she can hang a suit bag on the hook over the seat on addition to her luggage. She's got to have clothing for hot days, cool days, cold days, rainy days and for a possible hurricane. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. They also hold up the headliner.
The Fiero luggage was made for the trunk. Two small bags for the sides and a large case and duffle for the middle. The garment bag for behind the seats.
The 85 trunk is a little more squished due to the V6 fan. But that was the fitted dealer available luggage.

Lots of cars have (or used to have) coat hooks. Yes, they help hold up the headliner, which made them particularly useful back in the days before every car had grab handles there to also help hold up the headliner. The difference is, most cars have them on the sides, behind the doors or between the front and rear doors. On most cars, mounting a coat hook in the location where the Fiero has them meant your suit or your jacket would be draped all over the rear seats.

I used to use them to hang my baseball caps on, until the AC went out and I left the passenger window down and one of my Fiero hats blew out. Never found it. I think it got stuck in the grill of the truck behind me.

I would recline the seat forward, hang the garment, them put the seat back so you can still sit inside the seat.
