88 Database Guy (Page 1/1)

Hello all - is Database 88 Guy still out there? He was working on a project to capture as many 88 VINs and corresponding details of each Fiero associated with each given VIN number. I'd be curious to see what information has been compiled thus far. Best, Kelvin

He is still around, but doing a search for his username or any threads by him comes up blank. Even this thread didn't show. Looks like everything referring to him has been removed.

I have his personal contact information but I believe he had a dedicated email for contact through Pennocks. At one time he had said he would publish all the information he had been provided for the 88 Fiero, but he didn't give a timeline.

Edit: I just found a thread. I was putting in his name incorrectly. Do a search for 88 Database Guy and you can PM him through a thread.

Here's the ongoing thread that people are contributing to.
He checks it from time to time.

Ten years ago the following post appeared.

It seems pretty useless to collect all this information and make it available to no one.

John Willhoff has been collecting this data for 25 years. I honestly hope John proves me wrong, I really do... but I gave up on ever expecting to see this information made public/distributed/published seven years ago.

I spoke with John a couple of months ago. He is still collecting data.
He still owns a couple of Fieros, and came to a couple of our recent meetings.
But, as is true with many of us, life is taking up a large portion of his free time.
He said it's going to be a lot of work to put everything in a form that others can access.

Since I know bugger-all about databases, and building websites, I'll have to take him at his word.

I am developing FieroHub.com

If we would get the 88 data in digital format we can inject it into FieroHub.

All the data / statistics would then automatically be generated for everyone to see on the webpage.

Also, we could highlight those cars with his name, to give him the credit he deserves for the amazing job with collecting all that data!
