Does anyone have a phone number for Danny McIlmoyle? I ordered a 3800 harness from him a month ago, it has not arrived, and he is not answering my emails or private messages. He said it shipped, but did not provide a tracking number. Because he was referenced in the forums a number of times (particularly the 3800 Complete Parts List thread), I assumed he was a reputable seller and made the mistake of Paypal-ing him without buyer protection.

I believe his username here is FIEROFLYER. Did you research him at all before you sent him money?
You might want to read This thread.
Never ever send money (that you don't wish to lose) to a stranger without some sort of protection.

Yep. People should do their research on here before buying anything. Many, many thieves on this forum.

It's an excellent idea to always use PayPal so you have buyer protection. I would never send anyone a money order to buy goods as you have absolutely no protection. There are some issues with the person you purchased the harness from . I won't go into it but if you do a search all of these are well documented. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I always thought that you had protection as long as you don't send the money as a gift. Once sent as a gift, you are at the seller's mercy. If the money was sent the right way, Paypal usually sides with the buyer and then goes after the seller.[This message has been edited by IMSA GT (edited 11-04-2020).]

Deja vu..... Unfortunately in Canada we don't have internet or tracking numbers, so you are out of luck
If you get your money back, I would suggest contacting Olejodad- he will deliver as promised[This message has been edited by cam-a-lot (edited 11-05-2020).]

Certainly not true in all cases. PayPal recently declined to refund my money when an item I purchased was not delivered to me. Their reason was that the seller said they shipped it to me and that they had a tracking number that indicated delivery. PayPal never asked me for any documentation disputing this "delivery" and neither PayPal or the seller has provided me a copy of the delivery receipt even though the seller stated that he had one. BTW, PayPal delayed responding to my case for almost two months and left me without the option to go to the credit card company to get my money back (60 days from the purchase date).

Just an update. I've had more than one person say it takes forever for shipping from Canada, and that he's currently indisposed, so I'm stopping short of calling him a thief... for now.
However, he has not provided a tracking number, and is completely ignoring all of my attempts to contact him, and I'm not an isolated case, apparently. That should be enough for everyone on this forum to villify him. I've had a lot of transactions on a lot of forums without issue until now.

Nobody here is trying to protect him. Information on FIEROFLYER's past antics are readily available for anyone and everyone to read in the archives. Hopefully he'll get around to shipping you your harness.
