Well..it's here. 1984 Pontiac Fiero 2M4. 4 speed manual, manual windows, no adjustable steering column..which is a bummer since I'm a bigger person but that's fine. It needs work..quite a bit of work..fuel line leak, clutch isn't working right, and also the brake caliper needs replacing. New paint too probably. I'm unsure how long this will take, since i have to start from essentially nothing. I will keep you guys updated and hopefully..get some help?...I'm unsure. But I am very happy

Gotta love a new project! Good luck, I've really enjoyed mine in my whole two weeks of ownership.
Regarding the steering column, Fieros used the GM Saginaw column that was used in zillions of cars of the era.
I think you should be able to find a suitable tilt column and install it into your Fiero, if you really wanted to.
I don't know much about the steering columns... some other members such as (but not limited to) theogre may be able to fill you in on the details.

Suggest you check out you tube. There is a guy who has rebuilt / restored a FIERO and has a mulit-part series on the steps he has taken. It is very well done.
The you Tuber is Ronald Finger --- Fiero Revival (85 2M4)
