Just received a message from this outfit and its say "Warning". Now they threaten you and Photobucket wants to hold our Fiero photos hostage until we pay them $8.00 per month. The trouble is that few if any of us here make any money from hosted images. Most of my photos are posted to free forums just to share ideas and info. I won't give them a nickel. They could shove their service up their azz. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Dennis,
Now (while you're stuck at home) could be a good time to make the effort to copy all your PB pics back to a hard drive and tell them to shove it.

And i hate how they print "photobucket" on the pics - always just where you need to see to learn. frustrating Thats why i use postimage.org jon------------------ Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.
Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

Over two years ago, the Photobucket Hotlink Fix completely remedied that problem. Still works fine.
Available for Chrome, Firefox and Android.
If you can't see the following image clearly, without a watermark, or at all... you need The fix.

I should add that using this "fix" is simply a way to be able to see Photobucket hosted images already embedded in posts. I would not advise anyone to continue (or start) to use Photobucket for hosting their images. There are better options out there. Obviously, for this forum, use the new image uploader feature implemented by Cliff Pennock.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 04-19-2020).]

Now its down to $96.00/yr for a service that practically none of us use for commercial purposes. Near $100/yr is still not workable. The people who run that outfit are greedy. At this rate we had better download all of our images. At this rate they would last long.

How do you get your photos out of Photobucket and back onto your computer where they have no control or watermark over them?

I'm under the impression that the watermark only appears on embedded photos. Have you tried downloading any of your photos? If so, are they unaltered?
[EDIT] I've only got a handful of images stored there, as I always felt that Photobucket sucked, but I had no problem downloading a couple of my images. I didn't bother to check to see if there was a way to do a "bulk" download and/or the download of a whole folder.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 04-19-2020).]

As Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty once said..... "I'm a low tech man in a high tech world"
The last time I tried moving my photos out of Photobucket I couldn't find a way, icon or box to click on to move my photos off of Photobucket and back onto my computer.
