I have a mental image of the gearshift selector in the cabin. There was no bolt through the lever. It had a pin with an E type clip that held the shift lever on the mechanism. That pivot allowed front to rear movement of the lever. There was a bolt that ran front to back, if that's what you're talking about. That allowed side to side movement
Is it a 4 or 5 speed. The 86GT was available with both. They both work the same way but maybe someone has a replacement they'll sell you. I have 2 4-speed shifters if you need one.
Edit: Just re-read the title. [This message has been edited by fierofool (edited 04-27-2019).]

First of all, you don't click on "Image to post".
After you click "Browse" and select your image (whose location on your PC subsequently appears in "Image to post"), and you then click "Post it"... what do you do? In other words, after you've uploaded your image to PIP, what are you then doing to actually put it into your post? It doesn't occur all by itself.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 04-27-2019).]

Fierofool. it is a 5 speed, and yes it looks like that bolt has to do with side to side. [img][/img]
Patrick, that's what isn't working. When I click on the obvious, nothing happens. I tried it with my Opera Browser, and Firefox...Does it only work with IE, I hate that browser, too many spies...
Fierosound, All gears are stiff. Harder to get it into reverse, even if I try to go to 5th then down to reverse like we did before it was 'fixed' that was the original problem. I don't see anything broke in there. It seems like some aspect of the mechanism front and or rear is out-of-alignment. While I have the console cover off I will take it in to where it was fixed, and ask them exactly what they did...Thank you for the links, I will check them out, and keep working on the PIP posting picturers. That doesn't tell us a whole lot. Have your read the PIP manual?
Lots of helpful info in This thread. I was able to resolve an issue I had which may be what you're currently experiencing.

Alright I'm getting pretty po'd right now trying to post images. I have PIP installed and photos added. When I choose a pic in 'Brows and click 'post it'. It opens a little window that says 'uploading' for a few seconds, then times out... Any suggestions. First I start or choose to edit a post I want the image in, then I go to PIP in my desk top, and run through what I just explained. When I click on Image in choices above a little window pops up and states 'enter your images web location' [This message has been edited by FX (edited 04-28-2019).]
