Quarter Mile List, 3rd Edition (Page 4/6)

I'd hope that there's some sort of plausibility check, if an edge arrives at an unexpected time, and then outputs shut off.

Before sorting out my crank sensor, I had sync loss issues, and the engine didn't blow up, so I'm guessing that it wasn't sparking at BDC or anything like that.

Probably wiring/bad contacts are going to be a suspect in this investigation?

It's just your basic 8-pin HEI, so it really can't get too out of whack; I just have to poke around at it. It made the 17 mile trip back home without a hiccup, so there's that...

pmbrunelle, Sorry about such a delayed response (I've checked the list a couple time but never scrolled down ). I made some changes to the car this year that helped improve my reaction as well as other aspects, last year I ran on 15" wheels with bfg radial t/a tires, they did ok but they weren't ideal so this year I switch to 16" cavalier z24 wheels with some knock off street performance tires, Westlake zuperace 235/50/16, and they did awesome. I've also began my tuning journey and managed to make some changes to the torque management that allowed me to make 4 consecutive passes with .08 and .09 reaction times. Overall my 1/4 mile times changed very little so I didn't both posting anything but I did achieve a personal best with it the way it was.

Now I'm starting the turbo/E85 conversion process and I'm hoping that I can make close to 400hp give or take and eventually I would like to get the car in the 12's.

I guess the tracks are about to be closed for this year (if not already closed)?

E85 is commonplace around your neck of the woods?

Here, E85 is like Bigfoot; spoken of, but never seen.

Yeah all the tracks have been closed up here for about 3 weeks already.

It's not as common in my area as I would like but I can get it as I head to the track and back so it's not so bad, I also just picked up 3 jugs of E98R that I plan on diluting down to E85 and that's what I will start with. In the future I think my brother is planning on converting his SRT4 to e85 as well so at that point we plan on splitting a barrel.

Where is the 1.69 60' ? It doesn't appear on either of those two timeslips.

Was your best 60' performed on a different run?

I want to be in nines club just for thrills. L67 sounds like a spit filled trumpet but still want one.

OK, for the new list. My car is a 84 SE with a 85 gt body skin, 357 ci sbc, NA, not using the nos this run. 4T60-E, built engine, 3.43 gears, 2800 stall ( with the corvette brakes), on my 235 17inch street tires. with the dump open. 3200 with driver.

The run was with the car just as I drive it on the street, but with out the trailer.

Updated for FFIEROFRED.

You already had a 12.906 ET run (similar to your other 2nd gear start runs) in this list with pretty much the same trap speed. Looks like leaving in 1st gear is the right recipe for you.
