Just spent over an hour looking back at posts that I missed in the last 3 years. Quick update for those who remember me. Everything is going great. Well it took 3 years to get divorced but now all is good. I posted a while back for information as to what my Mera would be worth. No I wasn't selling, I just had to get a real world value for my separation agreement. And yes I kept Mera8071.

Recently met a wonderful young lady with a 4 car garage. (Had to throw in that caveat).

Since we been dealing with this pandemic, we have not taken the Mera out much. Next week I will be installing the original split exhaust tips.... finally. I still need to replace the pins and bushings in my doors and probably service the A/C since it's just not as cold as it use to be.

Someone asked for me to post a pic of my raised white letter tires so I will post that next. I hear another yellow Mera resides here in Canada. I'm sure there's room for the two of us...LOL

I see many new faces and I just love the pictures I keep seeing in here.

Here are two pictures....before the raised white letters and after. I also removed my center caps.

I had the car on a dyno that morning of the second pic and I see all the dirt on the rear tire sidewall..... weird how I just noticed. grrrr

Also note that the original Mera came with Good Year Gatorback tires 265-50VR-15 rear and 245-50VR-15 front. I went with 255-60-15 BF Goodrich raised white letters all around so it not only fills the wheel wells much better with the 60 series but it makes life easy when it comes to rotating tires.

Great looking Mera, Julian ! So, we know there are four yellow Mera's around at least. Two in Canada, one in Wisconsin and one in Europe.

I was going to comment on the good looking 87 at the top of this page....

Just removing the center caps made a world of difference in the appearance. Beautiful.

I concur!. The large plastic center cap does not look good (IMO) on any of the 88 Meras and I have removed them from all of my 88 cars. The tabs on these center caps are also brittle and I have previously lost caps while on the road.

I am restoring an 88 MERA, and am looking for a set of door toppers to complete my beechwood interior swap. Hoping some other MERA owners might have an idea or two!

Which was my question. How difficult are they to reproduce if I could borrow originals? I wouldn't mind taking on the challenge if these are highly sought after parts.
