The lenses look great I should be getting mine soon, my old ones are in fair condition but have a few flaws and are getting moisture in them now so I will need to replace the butyl tape when I install the new ones. Does anyone recommend a particular brand or type of butyl tape for the taillight lenses? I would like to get it a hard of time so I can install them when I get them in a couple of weeks.
Keith, thanks for making them.

My friend went back into the history and accumulated several threads concerning the lens project. Someday (after my contract with GM) I’ll write a book. My friend will be tasked with writing the forward.
The Fiero tail light lens project has a long history. It began with noticing the delaminated and cracked lens on my “new” Fiero. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/137913.html
I can see where I am working on a price range here. Several comments deserve some follow up in an upcoming book about the project.
The second is when you had the lenses scanned. 12-28-2017 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/097982.html Clearly I have committed to the project from a financial point. Up to this point I have gotten a project manager and toolmaker on line. Initial estimates for tooling were about $150,000 but done in USA. I originally wanted everything done stateside and while I have much of it done stateside we had to go to China for tool work (not design) and shooting the lenses. I’m also tinkering with the time line. Ohhh what a disaster that was. I had no idea what I was getting into.
The third is yet another update thread. 01-24-2018 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/098029.html I remember this thread and realizing communications with my Frugal Fiero Fans we becoming somewhat distracting and that I needed to focus on the project and pay attention to my chosen advisors. The fourth is when you started the whole project moving forward. 3-20-2018 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/098136.html Scanning the following thread I imagine I would have been feeling a bit frustrated but was probably in close touch with my financial advisor. She is always watching my back. Again, I probably was being a bit distracted from the challenge at hand The fifth is you begging for a set of housings to use… 4-5-2018 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/098175.html I can see here I am working toward a commitment to the project but and probably had an exit strategy to bail if it was just going to cost too much. I have never done anything like this or exposed my financial portfolio. I imagine I would have been very nervous but not smart enough to back out. I notice I vented on JohnWPB but thankfully he is one of my favorite supporters. The sixth is you posting yet another thread about the lenses. 4-11-2018 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/098193.html My beloved mascot George makes his entrance. He has added humor and is a good assistant. The seventh, is you posting another thread about the lenses. 5-4-2018 http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/098236.html

Probably time to come out of the closet and confess.... LOL. I have been way in the background doing what I do best..... just being there when needed, and offering insights from my injection molding background.
These are all interesting, and sometimes funny reads, so I suggest if you have the time, look back and see how this all developed.
Though I have no financial investment, and expect no rewards for this success, (I had thought of doing this myself) I really wanted to see someone succeed and finally put this to rest for the Fiero community.
Keith has had his fair share of questioning himself, the project, etc. but I am "giddy as a school girl" that he has taken it to the point of shipping out replacement lenses. That is where I came into the picture.... just someone to complain to. (oh boy, did I get a lot of calls..... heheh).
I daily look for reviews and input as much as he does..... lol, probably more, now that I am retired and he has a "full time job" going to the post office with "George"!
Glad I was a very small part of this, and also very happy to have someone I can honestly call my friend because of this.
Keith, I will be sending my psychiatric assistance bill to you soon...… heheh……
Well done! (Hint: the book should be called "Of Mice and Fiero's"..... lol....)

Your bill will be worth every dime. Good idea on the name of the book.

Got mine yesterday. I'll unpack them today just to inspect them, but they're going back in the box until I get the rest of my parts in for my InfiniteWill / Yellowstone taillight mod. Thanks Keith!

Wow! Thank you for making these. Just by looking at the pictures they look amazing. I was dead set on the Corvette tail light panel, even have a one-piece panel I bought on here a couple years ago. Now I just don't know. The factory tail lights are beautiful.
Got any other parts in your mind you might produce?

I'm glad you like them. If you held them in your hands you would immediately feel the quality of the lenses. If you ever get a chance to handle them cease the moment to do it. If you can't, I have no doubt any reviews you read or see will endorse my own goals.

Keith,
Sent you an email regarding the tail light lenses. I hae been on your list but hae heard nothing so far. My last email to you was in October where you said you were still waiting for GM approval. So I am confused as to status . I forwarded another email to you today , hopefully I will hear from you. We spoke quite a bit about that “Chilled carafe” so time ago, hopefully this will remind you who I am.

You are at about #200 in the order queue. This will probably put you in my next batch of lenses.
