sightings of Fieros on google map (Page 2/2)

My daughter was returning a patient home and spotted a Fiero sitting in a field at an abandoned house. When she left she stopped and texted me a great picture of it from the edge of the field. It's an 86 or 87 SE with wing. Has a small bush growing out of the opening in the front fascia. I looked it up on Google Maps. Here's the link. 101 Cox Road, Jefferson, Ga.

This '87 GT sat in this driveway for about a decade that I am aware of; perhaps longer! Then one day I drove by and it was gone.... But I found it again a few weeks later in the junkyard.

I took the steering wheel from it and eventually had it recovered, and I also took the antenna base and cable, so at least some of its DNA lives on.

I recall seeing another Fiero in my neighborhood when I was tandem-cycling a couple of years ago. So I checked out the area on Google Street View, and sure enough, I found a Formula pictured beside the same house three times from 2018 to the end of last year. I had several options to choose from in regards to the shot used here, but I selected this one as I liked the sky. Perhaps not the best view of the car itself, but we all know what a Fiero looks like.

Just for the heck of it, I looked up this location using Google Earth. I wanted to see if a satellite might've captured a shot of this same Fiero. What I found is rather interesting. I believe it demonstrates how Google Earth stitches multiple images together to provide what can be found at their site. Here's the same silver Formula, but it's been "blended" into another vehicle. Reminds me of the hybrids created in The Fly.

Some good sightings here.....

Patrick- I agree with your choice of backgrounds...But what the heck is going on with that pole to the left?!!

And I hate when something......absorbs someone.....or....something! (Are "They" coming for me?)

There's often distortion in Google Street View scenes due to multiple images being stitched together. What I found humorous about that pole is that it has a sign on it that mimics the very distortion that the pole itself displays!

The Google car caught my Fiero about a year ago.
