Fieros at Carlisle 27 (Page 11/13)

Lots of very nice cars out there, I swear it felt like the fieros took over almost 20% of the field.

There were enough examples the wife was able to see some similar examples to the cars I'd owned over the years.

Also enjoyed seeing the Meras down the end of the infield, even if they were all manual trannys - just meant the owners were spared from me trying to take one home!

Awesome event. Huge props to FieroChic88. I don't think she had a chance to stop and enjoy the show. She was constantly managing, directing, running around, answering questions (I'm guilty here)... that can be draining.

Thanks FieroChic!

Also, thank you to everyone who voted for my car for the WIP award. Mike and I were really flattered by the attention and questions. I really looking forward to the next time I can be here (or at the 40th) when everyone can see it/hear it running (and... factors being favorable, having all the bodywork/paint done and interior installed)

The TTop Mera with the miller woods turbo was very cool to look at. I am willing to bet that is the only one on the road!

Despite the engine in my Fiero developing a critical miss about 15 miles from home and having to attend in our family car, the event was absolutely incredible. Always great meeting old friends and meeting new ones. We cannot say enough about Jennifer Gilbert Goss as MAFOA president, except that she is amazing. Arrived home with not only some great memories but with a bunch of new USA made tools and some special mixed paint for my 85GT ragtop W.I.P. project from the paint vendor there. Hopefully we can post a picture thread later on today.

Carlisle was AMAZING this year for Fieros! As I rolled into the show in late morning yesterday Jen said that I was number Fiero #125 that showed up! The events and the club activities were a lot of fun, and the cherry on top was (what I thought I heard) an award for the most attended car in the whole show! The Carlisle staff took a picture of the entire club in front of the tent! So many Fiero fans were there it was almost comical, the community is honestly as strong as ever.

Many beautiful cars showed up and Gary Pickard's crown jewel LS4 swapped Fiero with the gold rims was in the T building on display. That car looks absolutely perfect and a real testament of the quality of him and his son's work. Jen's blue car is still as nice as ever as well as her SD Indy!

As for the rest of the representation of GM cars for Chevy Nationals weekend... was lackluster at best. There were far less cars as other years.

Had a really great time at Carlisle! I've never seen so many Fieros in one place! Only wish we could have been there for more of the show on Saturday.

Mike and Trinten made a small miracle happen when they spotted the alternator on the field that got my car back to catch the tail end of the show and 400 miles home to CT yesterday. THANKS YOU GUYS!!!

You're welcome! I'm glad it worked out and held up for the trip home.

I managed to get a few pictures from Thursday's F9 screening, the cruise on Friday, and just a few from the end of the show on Saturday.
