Got a few more parts in build primer today!

So for today was the door skins and rear decklid. All that is left is the roof and the hood and back bumper.

She is all coming together!!! Once you get her all in primer we need to figure out the rim and tire sizes so we can get them ordered and ready for install after paint.

Sanding Sanding Sanding!!!! lots of sanding lots of rain and humidity! Someone tell me a good air dryer for my compressor. I am having massive amounts of water in my line lately making sanding suck when the dust turns to paste!

Once you put the body back on we need to see what your rims look like size and offset wise.

Mine came off of a dodge avenger first gen not sure year but being mine is a 87 you dont want to use that offset. Look at all of Curley's threads in a few I remember him switching wheels a lot I think he listed sizes.

Getting closer to the end Fellas! I just have the hood to sand now then it is filling in pin holes here and there and scuffing up the trim and mirrors and rockers. I am trying to have it all wrapped up by this weekend but my dad is in hospital not doing good so I am dividing my time between this, going to hospital and working my second job. Mark get ready I want you to have this thing by Monday if Possible! LETS SEE IT GREY before snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finished sanding the hood and rockers today. All that is left is scuff up the trim now and mirrors. I also filled the hole for the antenna so it will need a bit of refinishing around that area before paint but Mark can handle that little bit I think. So, John..... Send me the Antenna you want, I will need eventually some wheels and silly little stuff I think I am going to leave for you to do. One thing I would do right away is make a front end cage under the nose with rollers like troys to keep it from getting busted up if you bottom out.

BTW, Good job jetsnvettes2000. I knew there was a reason I like you . The only thing I don't understand is why you don't have a ratings bar yet? I've seen you help lots of people and you've always been social in your posts that I've seen.

Started bolting stuff on to get ready to move it to Marks for paint. Doh.... nicked the hood front edge on a screw! Mark please remind me to replace the stock bumper screws with some pan head screws so if it rubs again it wont dig into the hood!

This is all temporary as Mark will remove it all again to paint it. So, nothing is shimmed it is just on for transport.

What size are the screws that hold the rear decklid lock metal cage? I think they look like a 8-32 I might want to make them 10-32's since the holes are not all that fresh anymore.

Hey Rob it's awesome to see that car on a trailer headed for paint! You and Steve did alot of work on that car and it will look great when complete. I wish I would have been closer so I could've helped you more than I did with this car. I applaud the effort, I can't wait to see it painted. WELL DONE MY FRIEND!!!

Talk to you later, Chris

Wow, that is looking fantastic! It's nice to see all the hard work coming together into a finished product. For John it has been a lot more than just the 2 years! But FAR more has been done, and done correctly in all the time previous to the 2 years you guys have had it.

When I was with John in Woodstock, he was showing me the shell of a car that he had there to have the work done originally. He was trying to explain to me how it was going to look when it was done. Well that never happened there, as well all know. I can say, It looks a lot better than what I think John was trying to describe that it was going to look like! It is amazing how you took such a tragedy and turned it into what was intended all along. Kudos to the whole team! ! ! ! ! ! !
