Is there a difference In ratios between a GT and a formula on the steering rack on a 1988 Fiero. From lock to lock.
I’m doing an electric steering out of a Saturn Vue.If a formula is faster I’ll swap The one from my GT

I'm pretty sure that all 88 racks are the same. Including the base coupe.
The power steering was supposed to add a ratio or two, but we all know how that worked out.

How's thepower steering swap going? I have a 2002 Saturn vue I'm about to scrap due to rusted frame. Shame, I love the car. 240k miles!
Now I'm interested in doing that! Do you have a guide you're using? Thanks! Lol

This is what I need confirmation on. I’ve heard GT/Formula were different than base coupe then I’ve heard they are all the same.
Can someone definitely confirm if they are the same or different.
I’m needing to change out the rack on my GT. I have a base coupe rack to use otherwise
I’ll be searching for the other.

All 88 Fiero racks have exactly the same ratios.
They are exactly the same.
Ratio is 3.25:1

The pre-88 cars had two ratios....3.0:1 (GT) and 3.5:1 (all the rest)

Perhaps it is tied into the WS6 suspension package option?
