Had to do a recent brake job and discovered that 84-87 brake calipers are getting harder to find but more importantly far more expensive, especially the rear set. They may not be available that not much longer as the cores are even getting scarce. What is needed is a replacement bolt on set of calipers and rotors for a more recent model. The Grand Am upgrade is one possibility but that setup uses old parts as well. Time for the think tank to come up with a solution. Can std Wilwood calipers be made to fit? Has anyone tried them?

I was just able to get all 4 calipers from orillys auto parts for 180.00 plus core charge. They had them in a day for me. You might give them a try,

Thomas

It’s been a while now but I was always able to get them from Autozone. However, the rebuilt ones they sell vary from one rebuilder to the next. Examine all rebuilt calipers carefully! Lastly, did you check Rockauto?

Thanks, Kit

Autozone doesn't stock these anymore. They show "out of stock". Rock Auto has them but with core charges that you'll never recover with the high postage charge for returning them. Local auto parts store can order them for about $65 ea for the fronts and $128 ea for the rears and that's unloaded! Finally bit the bullet and went with Rock Auto. The availability of Fiero calipers ain't what is used to be.

The last one I bought was a Centric from summit racing, expensive with the core but it was a good quality rebuild, far better than the stuff I've had in the past from either Rock auto or autozone etc.

Anything I might say is probably worth what you paid for it, so treat it accordingly!

There is no argument that you guys up there get the shaft! If you live close to the US/Canada border you may be able to set up a post office box an have it sent to a border town or make a Fiero friend say in Detroit or Bufflao and have it shipped there, for pickup.
