I am looking to match my front spring rate with the rear....I have new coil overs in the rear of my 87 fiero with a 315Lb rate. however the front feel too soft...so I have two options

buy Arrautmotorsports front coil overs with desired spring rate and adjustable.

or figure out what length are the stock springs in front and replace with a stiffer spring rate

so...does anybody know the length of the front springs....I would like to purchase a new set that will keep stock height.

Scotty has a pair of front springs for sale. I'm sure he can measure them for you and post here.
I will have mine off in a few weeks and I can measure for you but it'll be a little while.

I tried to build a database of STOCK spring data - but nobody participated
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...120111-2-110727.html

On my GT, I had 1" lowering spindles and with age, original springs sagged too much.
I need new springs to get it back to the ride height I wanted still using the lowering spindles.
I got Chevette springs https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...120111-2-110255.html

84-87 stock springs and codes

And a helpful thread post it is!

Just this past weekend I cut two full coils off of a set of 1984 DMN 12-3/4" long 12mm springs and installed them in the front of my '88 Formula. I autocross the Formula and I had previously installed a set of lowering springs (along with KYB shocks). I liked the stance, but I found the front springs to be a little too soft for autocross. I'm hoping these cut springs are going to be stiffer than the ones I swapped them out for, although I'm surprised that the front end appears to be a little higher than it was with the lowering springs. I'll wait to see if these cut springs settle any before I decide to cut more off than the two coils already removed.
