If the 88 is cheap enough and there's nothing wrong with the frame (collision or rust damage), then I'd just fix it and drive it.

The 88 needs a slave cyl and gets no spark which is either ign mod coil or pick up coil and I have fixed all of those on a 2.8 before so it's not a big deal
