Have a question for you some of you pro-master mechanics...

Does anyone have idea if there is a strut out there that resembles the rear on the Fiero in dimensions?

I read somewhere back a few months ago that a mk1 VW jetta was similar, just the top hat was different. Im in the process of planning for bagging my car and i would like to find some struts that would work. Being how I want to lower the car anyways the height doesnt bother me if its a little shorter.
I realize there's a company out there that make a "kit" for the fiero. They also sell the rear struts separate but for the same price I can buy a kit where I can fab up my own struts. From what i've heard the company's products aren't reliable and would rather fab up the struts than buy some that I dont know if it will last. Does anyone know of anything?
