Is there a kit out there to convert a notchback's tail lights to double rounds like on a 308? My lenses are starting to go, and I'm looking for ideas for replacing them.

Even if there was a kit, there is no easily accessible red round tail light that would fit in the height of the tail light area. Other than maybe something from a motorcycle. Most individuals that have done aftermarket tail lights on notchbacks use a rectangular light.

Pisa makes a few round taillight kits but nothing like the 308. See here:

Look for heavy duty truck or trailer lights. That's what is usually used.

I noticed that the HHR has pretty small round tail lights. They may just fit in the notchie space.

The notchback tail lamp housings aren't tall enough to fit a decent sized round tail lamp. But if you're not afraid to do some fiberglass work, you can do something like this:
