(Along with some other items) I bought a set of these upgrade lights from TLG.

As silly as this sounds, I don't see where to plug this light in. I don't see any sockets. So I opened the door, & I don't currently have interior lights that illuminate the floor.

So two questions :

1.) was this an option?
2.) if my car maybe just doesn't have this, how do I tie into existing power? I assume I would want to purchase a light receptacle from another vehicle.

Yes, it was an option. You can buy a harness and plug it into a junction box that is located way up under the dash, on the driver's side. You could also tap into the overhead light power also. Do you have a factory service manual?

I have a friend that has one. *grumble grumble*

Hey, on a positive note : thank you for confirming I'm not crazy (or incredibly blind).
