First of all, I've searched and searched and seen many threads on installing a single din stereo with pullout/pushin cupholders on top. I am interested in that.

For those that have done this, what install kit, if any, for the faceplate and bracket did you use?

Did you take the bracket off the donor car where the cupholders came from? (eg a Golf or Corolla?)

If I don't do the cupholder install, for those that simply installed a single Din, what kit did you use? I've looked at many and just want to know what kit will have trim surrounding the radio that covers our 1.5 din opening.

Thanx.

Sorry can't help with where those came from, but I will tell you that my Dodge ram pickup has one over the radio and I don't like it. It covers the radio buttons and makes changing the station just about impossible to do.

that said, there's a free bump to the top for ya.

I think the 3 threads cover it. TK said he used a Metra 1.5 DIN kit
bobafett shows what he did. Looks like parts of a Metra kit there too.

I didn't use a kit when I did mine. I made my own faceplate.
It's gone now - I replaced my Denon with an Eclipse head unit.
