Also, in the bottom part of the middle intake manifold... I would cross-drill some holes in the tube walls right above where it meets the LIM to increase your top end. I went a little radical with my experiment here and lost a little mid range:
While I wold love to have an LS# in my 85' GT, I'm running a 3400 with iron heads and Fiero intake. You'll love the 3.4, it has enough of a power increase over the 2.8 you can feel it. And it all looks factory!
I went this route for that reason. I wanted to look factory as mush as I could keeping the spirit of the car. My swings stage is to install a SC where the AC compressor is located. Next fall.
As for the PPG intake. The end goal is to look like this.
jjd2296, I'll delete the contents of this post afterwards (so as to avoid duplication)... but if you'd like to fix the missing images in your opening post, click the EDIT tab on this post, copy everything below the dashes, then paste it into your opening post to replace the original text. (The problem in your opening post was created by not using the Enter key to put blank lines between image addresses. This then results in spaces being introduced into the middle of various image addresses.)
[EDIT] I'm not sure why you didn't make use of the edited/corrected post I supplied to replace the botched up one with the missing images at the start of this thread... but after a couple of days, it seemed there was no point leaving it here any longer, so it's been deleted.

Thanks Patrick but it seems to be a glitch with the new photo upload function from a mobile Cliff set up. No ability to hit enter etc. You just upload the pics you want and hit the upload button

I use a PC so I can't test this myself on a phone... but when you upload an image, isn't that image address then simply put into the text (wherever you happen to be) within your yet to be uploaded post? And then aren't you able to use your Enter key a couple of times to create an empty/blank line before you upload the next image?
No. Cliff upgraded the side for mobile use this week. When on a mobile there is an icon for add image you click it and you can either take a photo or select a picture from your photos on your phone. Just like with Facebook or Instagram. No more need to host the photos on another site and copy the link. I think he’s still working out the kinks.
I also recommend Rodney's underdrive kit with 88 alternator conversion if your car isn't an 88. Also, the Fiero Store cross-over pipe doesn't have the D-crimp restriction where the 2 become 1. They offer one with a 2.25" down pipe but then you'd need a full 2.25" exhaust to go with it.
Also, the Fiero Store SI valves are narrowed to 7mm at the valve. You can machine the stock ones. You can also order V8 1.8" intake valves for a compression bump and I would have those narrowed to 6 or 7 mm...
well the old 3.4 bit the dust. looks like I did something wrong when I installed the piston rings? anyone have a guess how the gouges got there? as a result I located another 3.4 and had it professionally built with a custom turbo cam, rebalanced, bored out 1mm, new coated pistons, heads fully done with ss valves and comp cam roller tip rockers and comp cam lifters. engine has since been boosted with a vortech v5 SC.

you couldn't just bore this engine?

I work efficiently. This way I can drop the cradle and swap in the motor all in a day or two in the shop. Not doing it this way meant that I have a motorless car sitting for months in a shop where it can get damaged by others. And money isn't an issue for me. plus the one big gouge is borderline at 1mm, meaning if it was larger then that the block is garbage because the largest size oversize pistons available are 1mm. and because its a broken piston ring I have no idea what else is damaged inside. if its savable it will be rebuilt and kept as a spare. I have a 87 5 speed GT and an 86 ttop both with the same 3.4 sc build.

Looks sexy Jeff! Need to take me for a spin this summer.... Just not on a hot day! I still can't believe you would choose a supercharger over an AC Compressor I guess I am a princess!!
