Shifter work w/ most/all 4Txx(E or not) w/o notching new gates if the trans end has correct length level.
(Many threads say so.) Different cables shouldn't matter.
Why did you make most or all new gates full lock same as parking?
So people are on same page...
OE gates on many vehicles not just Fiero w/ 3 speeds:
Full locking gate only for Parking.
Rest is design so you can bump the shifter to Neutral and (Over)Drive. Push the button to move to R and Low gear(s) from N or D/OD
