Always loved my fiero, so I never got rid of it... Currently have the fiero , a 911, corvair, a few bikes, 2012 cooper S , 2013 F150 87 CRX... Isetta.. I'm sure there's a few others I'm missing.

With the age of the northstar, all the wiring fiasco and the final product I don't think so. Nothing against the motor, I'm just really not enough of an engineer to do another. I would like something a little more simplistic and reliable so I can just go back to enjoying the car. It already has Koni's, 11.25" brakes, big bars, poly, 5spd conversion...etc. I really loved the car when it was just a 6 to be quite honest.

i just bought a 2010 G6 with the VVT 3.5. Has an advertised 220 HP right out of the box.
Seems like it would be a lot of fun in a Fiero, especially bolted to a manual tranny.
I hear they respond to mods quite well.
(The 3.9 is also an option. It only has a few more HP, and much worse fuel economy, though. That may not be a consideration for you.)

Welcome back. Also, check out this link before you get rid of the N*. It might be easier than starting over:

http://www.cadillacdoctor.com/RepairServices.html

I have a N* too, and when the heads finally go this is where I will be taking mine...

I actually threw the motor in the scrap pile.. It wasn't just head gaskets, it had a massive knock and seized up. Time to move on
