Back in '89 I was a freshman in college and there were flyers pasted all over campus saying "FREE BEER"`, which, of course, was a local band. I always thought that was a great name for a band.....FREE BEER on the marquee would bring people in!

When I was in high school, there was a local band made up of kids I went to school with. They called themselves "Dog Breath". Later, when they got a manager, he felt that the name wasn't appropriate, and renamed them "Happy Jack". The guitarist, Steve Farris, went on to become the lead guitarist for Mr. Mister, as well as playing with many famous musicians.
