WASHINGTON - Thousands of people marched to the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.
The line of protesters completely filled Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
quote
Terri Hall, 45, of Starke, Fla., said she felt compelled to become political for the first time this year because she was upset by government spending.
"Our government has lost sight of the powers they were granted," she said. She added that the deficit spending was out of control, and said she thought it was putting the country at risk.

The march had absolutely nothing to do with racism. Those are American people of all color demonstrating to the federal government that we are tired of thier terrible policies. I am very happy to see a demonstration such as this, I would have been there if I could. It shows that the American people are getting tired of thier tactics and we will not stand for it. We can't just stand back and do nothing, we have to make a stand and we did a great job of showing our patriotism today. I speak for these demonstaters and WE WANT TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!!

Ah,The self righteous indignation. You clowns can dish it out but ,you sure can't take it.
Funny from those who call Obama a Nazi and Fascist. Boo F-ing Hoo.
What's funny is that the leftists (you know, the folks that are supposedly about inclusion and tolerance) are almost always the ones to inject racial elements into a discussion.

Wolfhound you act of making it a racial march when it was anything but has one earned you a negative and two made you seem like a child who lashes out with whatever you think might hurt someones feelings. I don't like Obama, have never called him a Fascist or a Nazi but I think he is dragging this countries economy through the mud and it will take generations to recover what his government has spent. I would have gladly joined this march if I lived in D.C. and you my friend cannot claim my motives are just about hate or along a party line because I have givin 21 years of service (and still serving) to this country defending it's Constitution. Have a nice day and post when you have something relevent to say.

Look at who's there: Middle aged families, people that would normally never do something like this. I think people are finally paying attention to the government and its follies.
Also, not a single act of violence.. sweet.
As far as the indignation again people using comparisons between Obama and the Nazis, "Nazi" is short for "national socialist party" so the comparison seems pretty valid to me. Granted, I don't believe Obama would advocate genocide, I do believe he wouldn't mind the economic and political control the Nazi party enjoyed for a while.

Well, Wolf has succeeded in disrailing the thread topic with a classic tactic out of the liberal playbook...distraction. Personally, I try to ignore posts like that since they add nothing constructive to the chat and only tend to move the discussion to his playing field.
Remember people....don't feed the trolls.
BTW, various estimates currently say that attendance was between 1.2 and 1.5 million with both ABC and the UK Daily Mail both reporting up to two million people attended the rally.

It appears the silent majority wants to be heard, and not herded (into socialism).
