I have just found out that the "popular" tv show "mythbusters" will be destroying an AMC Eagle
I would greatly appreciate it if you could all help me boycott the show until the stop destroying classic vehicles, I have had problems with them before, destroying perferctly fine Plymouth Furies, a cool 70s Cadillac, a Fiat X1/9, 67 Caprice, a really clean old 70s Toyota, and many other cars, but this is where I am REALLY getting angry. So, if you could, please help stop the merciless destruction of classic automotive history

Ummmm, No. I love mythbusters. They have blown up way cooler cars than an AMC Eagle. Its not like they are messing up real classics like a 69 Camaro, 63 Corvette split window, 87 Buick GNX ETC... When they start doing that then I will help you boycott. No biggie now, its a great show.

Most of the cars they destroy are given to them. Its not like they go out looking for these "classics" to blow up. Unless some one gives them a Fiero, I doubt they will do anything with one. As much as I love Fieros, I think it would be cool to see one on the show, regardless of what happens to it.

I've got no love for the AMC eagle, but I can see his point of view, if they destroy the "lesser" classics whats to stop them from destroying that "commonly viewed as lesser by the general populous" classic we all know and love... the Fiero?

If they just stuck to Gremlins and Yugo's there probably woudn't be much backlash. All said a great show that I'll continue to watch! Good luck with your boycott!

The AMC Eagle actually HAS a following?

Think of it this way, if they destroy an AMC Eagle it makes all the remaining ones rarer and more valuable.

The vette, x-19, the Chevelle ( rocket car ), snowplow and that one car they put the ejection seat in they bought.

Other then that caddy they dropped from 4 stories up, what other cars were there that were freebees?

Who cares what they destroy? The cars were given to them by their previous owners, so it's alright by them; or they went out and purchased the vehicle making them the new owner to do whatever they see fit with the cars.

As long as there's destruction, I'll be tuning in and watching. (Happens to be one of my favorite shows on TV).

they vaporized one fiesta and smushed another, dropped an older accord, 325i, and cavalier. Its not like they go out of their way to crush classic cars. I wouldn't be too suprised if they buy whatever they can get a good deal on.

Geezs, I stopped watching Mythbuster long time ago. Nothing too exciting IMO unless they perform myths regarding penis enlargement pills. Otherwise, I'd rather watch Mananswer to get my facts.

16 minutes till the show that they crash the AMC in Alaska. I'm getting a little tired of them junking good cars to, but that wont make me stop watching.

They bought the 84 silver Vette. I do believe that it was a very nice car. Until they put two dead pigs in it for 3 months. I too would like to see Kari wear a bit less clothing. I bet that their viewer rating would rise. Or at least mine. And on the myth about the male enhancement pills.....I figured it out myself. It isn't my small penis. It is her huge vagina.

I really don't care what makes/models of cars they smash n' crash. They're just cars. There are more important things in life to worry about.

Actually, I have a twisted desire to see them demolish an exotic supercar. Seeing a Ferrari or a Lambo smashed between two trucks, blown to pieces, flown off a cliff, etc would rock!

Fixed it for you ! They trashed them, and they looked to be in decent condition

The one show I thought was sacralege was when the stuck a dead pig in a nice Corvette to see what happens. After a few weeks they removed a rotted corps and sold the Corvette.

lol... no. I dont like how they destroy some cars, but you know what? most of those they dont go out and buy... most are just donated. I like destruction, I like cars in general. who cares if they destroy them, just makes the ones you have worth more

It wasn't a fiero that they crushed with the big rig, but it did look fairly similar.
Dont worry though, the moment they crush a fiero we will hear about it. We will flood their forum on discovery.com/mythbusters and they will know our W R A T H. and it wont be the first online forum that we've rushed. Go PFF!!
