This guy sits next to me and he's wiping snot all over his arms, picking goobers out of his nose and wiping them on his pants, and making all sorts of weird noises. He's coughing all over everything, I'm feeling like puking. I look over at the line of people waiting to get a computer and it's at least an hour long, the library closes at five, and I so desperately don't want to give up my precious PC time.
However, I need to get out of here before I puke all over the keyboard.
Man, I should have brought a giant can of spray disinfectant.

well you have to remember, that man was probably sitting at the computer that you were sitting in front of at one point or another. chances are if hes that rude as to perform that in public then hes been there before and is used to the staring. Oh, and I doubt that keyboard you were typing on was cleaned since it was installed new. Here at school i carry wipes for the keyboards and purell hand sanitizer stuff, that **** grosses me out.

Ewwww. I'd say something loudly about respect for others and hygene. And make sure to cause a comotion.
What's the problem Phranc? How's this any worse than sitting next to a smoker?
If you don't like it, just don't go to the library.

well Patrick, im pretty sure Phranc didnt go to the library... no need to be all nasty towards him. Im agree w/ the fact that its gross and uneccesary, kinda a hygene thing your taught about when your 5 yrs old or so. I take it that your the kind of person to pick their nose and pass gas among other gross things in public then?

How is there room here for misinterpretation?? saying that he would point out the nasty pig whos picking his nose at the computer so that he will be embaressed enough to stop and hopefully go away and buy some tissues is a pretty obvious point.
and I agree

no i dont smoke and I was very happy when NY allowed the local ordinances to pass no smoking inside any public places (restaurants and such). That is why I would find the nose picking and farting and other disgusting things people do inappropriate. They should be kept to that persons home or car or whenever they are not around ppl. Being that your defending the nasty person who performs these acts, I take it that you do them as well, thus the assumption.
[This message has been edited by Dans85GT (edited 12-10-2006).]
Pointing out ones grossness to hope he changes his disgusting way was my point. Thats a far cry from legislating away his choice to be a disgusting pig wich you advocate and then reveling in thier "patheticness" wich you gleefuly bragged about doing. I understand you're still pissy I made you like an ass last night but if you want to go for the "gottha" shot pick a better exacuted plan next time so as not to make an ass of your self.

The guy is a filthy pig that I rate right up there with people who wish to smoke in a public place. You assume too much.

And what do you do when the pig refuses and says he has every right to be sitting there wiping snot on his arms and picking his nose?

Its the hopefullness that he will get up and move away or other ppl will openly agree. If he said "no im not moving" then thats too bad, I just think that its wrong and shouldnt happen to begin with. but wat can you do, most people are dirty foul and disgusting. its not something that can be changed, but hopefully avoided.

smoking is completely different than picking your nose in public and the two cannot be compared. Smoking is hazardous to other peoples health while picking your nose and passing gas is just wrong.

Jazzman, why can't you just get a cheap laptop with a wireless card and go to better places, like Starbucks?
I understand the problems with unhygienic people. At my school, in the student center where I usually go between classes to study/surf the internet, there's usually this guy...I swear he never showers, he must always eat Krystal and nothing else, and for some reason his voice is high like a woman's. He smells terrible, I'm never sure what to do, because the spots next to the power outlets are a luxury. I swear that he smells like a a dozen krystal burgers, that have been sitting in a car in July for a couple of weeks.
This guy sits next to me and he's wiping snot all over his arms, picking goobers out of his nose and wiping them on his pants, and making all sorts of weird noises. I hope you had other online business to take care of besides just posting on PFF, otherwise you get MY vote for #1 PFF addict!

Are you referring to the smoking thread or some smoke induced delusion you had afterwards. I suspect it was the latter
Yes the smoking thread were you showed us that deep down inside you are a facist prick and care not for equal rights to all under the law but for laws that dictate others live by what you want them to.

Thanks for italisizing the you! You're right I don't see the connection. Maybe if there was a boogy picker area. Maybe you should pass a law. Maybe you should force the nose pickers outside to laugh at them. Maybe if you tryed to draw paralllels between sitting in an eatery with the guy washing your plate wiping his snot all your plate or the table.

No irony there at all. You're really off base with this one. At no point did I make a stand saying something contradictory to what I did in the other thread.

See what you started, JAZZMAN? FYI, dial up is only $9.95 per month. Add up the cost of hand sanitizer, medicine, lost time from work, and its cheaper than going to the library. Add the luxury of not having to stand in line with rude, creepy adults and feral children, and its the best bargain in the USA!!

I don't think Jazzman has a phone line or cable access anymore. It was part of his budget cutting efforts, so home internet access is not an option for him. I hope his house remodeling is going alright, as I understand he has run into some problems with it. As for the two guys following each other around the forum to argue, get a room, you both sound like an old married couple that doesn't get along. Take it to PMs instead of hijacking other's threads.

Dial up? but the library has DSL or maybe even cable!! I cant see paying for dial up anymore, too slow for me. I would actually prefer the library over the ages it takes for dial up to load things.

Ah, yes, that $9.99 dialup is $10.81 after taxes, then add on another $27 (minimum) for a land line, which includes about 14 in taxes, then another $100 deposit to get a land-line installed, plus I need to run a phone line from the pole to my house as there currently isn't an intact one, etc.
If and when I get enough income to consider phone service again I likely will go with one of the wireless broadband providers such as Verizon, but I'll need to have a spare several hundred bucks for a newer laptop by then also.

Jazz. I feel for you, I used to do the public library internet. Make note of the time and day and try not to be there. You helped me a great deal when I first bought my Fiero! and I am glad your back even in a limited degree.

yeah the public library sucks. i brought back a book late and they charged me a nickel. why bother charging? i thought about handing the lady a buck and telling her to run a tab on me.
anyway about hygene. people are nasty. i went the the Chiefs game sunday and needed to use the stall. there was feces all over the toilet, lid, floor and wall. looks like a bag of sh!t blew up in there. i mean really, how could that happen on accident. i managed to contain myself.
here at work i use lysol and hand sanitizer all the time. i spray down the keyboard, phone, doorknobs, etc. guys will come to my window and belch, fart, cough, sneeze. its like looking at a farm animal. one guy burped wihout covering his mouth and i could smell the tacos he had for lunch. "hey thanks for sharing that!" frickin nasty people. my three yr old has better manners.

Patrick, it's people like you that make this such a wonderful forum to visit. NOT! You and others like you are one of the reasons a lot of old time members have left or don't post as often. I took my self imposed hike already and since things are slow I have decided to lurk and post here from time to time. If you don't like it, that is too bad, and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you can do about it. As for my so called "hissy fit" you mention in the link you posted, how was my telling others that I would not be posting regularly here anymore a hissy fit? I'm surprised as to how many conspiracy theories and accusations spang up in that thread. It also shows the real character of some of the members here. Makes one all warm and fuzzy to see some of the vile that was spewed in that one.

Tell me John, are you still distributing personal PMs from PFFmembers (without their knowledge) to people who are no longer members here?
I couldn't give a hoot that people like you and Red88FF don't like me. Just stop acting so high and mighty. It's rather nauseating considering your questionable activities and checkered history here.
Apologies to JazzMan.

Raydar, I won't elaborate on my PM comments unless John cares to push the issue, but you were fully aware of the goings on reported in This thread as you yourself posted in it.
Why don't we just let this go before it has to get any uglier...

JazzMan, I applaud your cost-cutting efforts. I'm sure it isn't easy to choose being next to nose-pickers when you could have the convenience of home internet access (and all other cost-cut conveniences like it). Hopefully your efforts will pay off soon.

I don't know where you got this idea, but it sounds a little paranoid to me. Maybe you have me confused with a previously banned member?Could you refresh my memory about this accusation, can I also ask what proof do you have that I did this? I haven't received any PMs from members here for months, except for a couple from those I have PM'ed myself. I also asked people to NOT PM me as I am not as active on this forum as I once was. I have three other Fiero forums I frequent and spend most of my browsing time on. I even own one of those, so I don't have the time to hang out here like I used to. I have always stated that I would post any hateful PMs I receive, if that is what you are referring to. I have not changed my views on this. I'll have to ask Jazzman to forgive me (along with Patrick) for hijacking his thread, but I feel this needs to be addressed in the open since I haven't had any need to check PMs here anymore. I usually just sign in to post a reply once in a while, when I'm passing through, and sign right off. The reason I have been here a little more than normal is because all the forums have been slowing down on their new threads. I guess this is because of people storing their cars and moving on to other things to waste their spare time on. Since I have a little spare time now, I feel I have a little time to waste answering these silly accusations. I guess things haven't changed too much in six months, but I really didn't expect them to.
