Well, the Bemidji area Classic Car Club had it's annual car show at the high school yesterday. Here's some pics:

There were a few Corvettes, Some new, most of them were old. There was around 10 Stingrays.

This next pic confused me for a minute when I saw the car first:

I thought that it had GIGANTIC brake rotors, then I realized that it was just a chrome shield behind the wheel!

Does this make sense to anyone here? I think this engine was using 3 different carbs... but I don't know enough about them to be able to tell. I have never seen anything like this setup before:

MORE TO COME ONCE PIP STARTS WORKING AGAIN!
stay tuned for the vipers...

This was one of the only 2 Imports at the show yesterday:

'94 Honda Civic

The other Import was a Honda S2000.

This next particular Viper sounded especially mean:

It had a full stainless steel custom exhaust system!

We used to call that three dueces.
3- 2 bbl carbs with a progressive linkage. It runs on the center carb untill you nail the throttle, then the other two open up.
SWEET.
Thanks for the great pix.

Car show? Bemidji?

Where are the dog sleds with chrome runners?

And how did Foose's GrandMaster end up up there? Part of a travelling show?

Looks like a great car show.
Was the crank driven supercharger (the front mounted one) on a V 6 or a Small block Chevy V8?
You don't see those every day!

Thanks for the great pix.

Pontiac called it "Tri-Power"
Mopar called it "Six-Pack"
Chevy was "3-Dueces" (and I think Ford called it that as well)

thanks for clearing up my confusion about the triple carb setup! Very cool.

I sure wish my Fiero could've attended, but it is having quite a bit of work done to it to be ready for the Missouri CFOGi show...

Yeah, as far as Bemidji goes, it was a great turnout!

The S2000 was red.

yeah, she's pretty hot too! Her boyfriend has the 2nd gen GST that cruises around too. It's a fun crowd most nights. We all usually just randomly get together and get kicked out of parking lots...

hahaha, yeah, I know that kid but I don't remember his name off the top of my head. That car has an acura integra gsr swap done to it, so it's not slow at all.

When I lived in st. cloud and worked at ultimate electronics, one of the other installers had a real nice silver SVT and we all called it an Escort, just to give him a hard time. That's funny...

really, it has a motor swap in it? hmm, becasue i walked him pretty bad....

there are a few SVT's around, but they are kind of the forgotten SVT. most peopel think of the lightning, cobra, and focus. and the only place they say contour on them is the sail panel on the rear doors. no badge on the back except SVT. i should swing up to st cloud and check out his car sometime. ive only seen 2 down here since i moved back to maple grove. and there is one up there out near macintosh

how many of those cars at the show were local?

well, I don't know for sure, but I think that at least a quarter of the cars at the show were local.
