You can download PIP v1.09 HERE.

What's new in PIP v1.09?
  • Lately, a lot of people were getting "Run Time Error 13" when trying to start PIP. This was caused by a bug in the new Windows Internet libraries (which were probably automatically updated during a recent Windows update). This new version of PIP works around that.
  • PIP was not compatible with the new PFF Image Servers causing an error when you tried to upload a picture. This has been fixed in this version as well.

Still works in Linux under Wine. Still doesn't see .jpeg files, just .jpg and .gif files

I cant see your pic either.

I no longer see red X's. I see a white box with a blue circle and a blue line through the circle. This started a while ago and is not because of the new version of PIP

this last post is trying with both Version 2 is the top X, the orginal PIP is bottom

plus all the PIP Pics in the Mera thread are gone.....
*edit* 11:19 am they are back now.....weird. the ones posted with PhotoBucket showed. but that other Fiero.whatever only showed like a 1/4 of the photo. must be part of a gradual fix, i suppose

still not posting new ones yet...

The files are uploading fine to the FTP server... When I browse the FTP I can see what I have uploaded.

The images do not display properly here though.

The image URL SHOULD read with an HTTP at the front: images.fieroforum.com/2011b/imagename.jpg

When I right click the broken image and choose "Open Image in New Tab", it attempts to load that URL, and then redirects...

quote

The server can not find the requested page:

74.55.65.186/~cliff/images/2011b/IMG_3388.JPG (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to john316.hostkansas.com's WebMaster.

Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/5.2.13 Server at john316.hostkansas.com Port 80

It appears to not be an issue with PIP so much as an issue with the server not reading from the correct path.

I'm not showing any of the pictures in this thread.

Is there a way to make PIP mac compatible so I can stop using photobucket?

This is a test using the new PIP with a different server...
This confirms to me that the server is the culprit and not PIP.

Since I JUST set this server up, it may not work for everyone yet, it can take up to 24 hours for DNS to propagate around the globe.

In the meantime, you can change your profile for image hosting...

In the PIP application, click Profiles at the top left. Select New Profile.

In the "Automatic Configuration" box, copy and paste the following:
http://www.chalnet.net/download/chalnet.pip

Click "Get" to the lower right of the URL. Click OK on the confirmation box.
In PIP, at the bottom under Current Profile choose Chalnet Image Hosting.
Post your photos.

Ok, that was a server-side error. Forgot to point one of the image folders to the new location. This has been fixed.

The images are all duplicated onto the new server. The old one thats been serving pip all along will be going offline on monday

Thanks for modifying the pip to work with the settings I needed to use.

EDIT:

Still see a few dozen ips loading images from the old server, so will keep cloning the images over to the new box every so often between now and monday. So if you dont see images, its likely you will soon and you may have been loading the old server.

If you need to re-size your pictures before you upload them with PIP, try IrfanView. It's a really nice little free program.
