Ah....thats what I get for not reading the page That would be interesting.
Edit.....nevermind, I just read the page. $27,000 for a motor? I would rather put $10,000 into an SD-4.

I read that that engine is intended for use in the Ariel Atom?

Hearing that thing rev up would turn me on.

I almost bought a car several years ago that had a 2.5L V8 Hemi. It was an English sports car from the 60s. The number of cylinders doesn't always equal big displacement. I had a V12 Jag that was only 5.3L.

That's the one! Daimler SP250 Dart. Tiny V8 Hemi and a totally fiberglass body. And I thought Corvette was the only one doing that back then.

True. But I'm sure Ferrari frowns on owners working on their own cars.

And the fact that "most" Ferrari owners could not locate the oil filter to begin with; even when it is staring them in the face

The Atom 500 V8 is a totally custom job specifically for Ariel, and is 2.4l. So, even smaller.

Though a 2.8l V8 isn't really a big surprise. The Indy/CART V8s are 3.0l.

And then there are things like this:

The motor in question is essentially a clone of the original Radical V8, which is exactly what it all sounds like - two Hayabusa 1300s stuck together. In either event they sound like a swarm of really angry bees at speed and make huge power for the tiny size. I could rock that quite happily... but preferably in a real Radical SR8.
